Split Leather Work Gloves Manufacturer
Split leather work gloves are the everyday glove of building sites, warehouses and yards. We make them in Sialkot with cotton, zeen or denim backs, rubberized or canvas cuffs and single or double palms, for distributors and private label brands worldwide.

The Glove Everyone Ends Up Wearing
Walk onto almost any site and you’ll see them. Leather palm, fabric back, a stiff safety cuff. In the UK a lot of people call them rigger gloves. Elsewhere they’re just leather work gloves. Same idea either way: tough where the hand grips, cooler where it doesn’t, and cheap enough to replace when they finally wear through.
Split leather is the inner layer of the hide, the part left once the top grain has been taken off. It’s a little rougher than grain leather, but it’s thick, it copes well with abrasion, and it keeps the price sensible. That’s why it ends up on so many general handling jobs.
We’ve been making split leather work gloves for distributors and private label buyers for over 20 years. Nearly every order gets tweaked somehow: a different cuff, a second palm layer, a colour that matches the buyer’s brand.

Split Leather Glove Styles We Make
Six common builds. Mix and match the palm, back and cuff to suit your market.

Rubber cuff rigger gloves
Split leather palm, cotton or zeen back and a rubberized safety cuff that stands away from the wrist, so the glove comes off fast. The classic rigger glove.

Canvas cuff work gloves
Same palm, softer canvas cuff. A bit lighter and more flexible at the wrist, which a lot of people prefer for general handling.

Double palm leather gloves
A second layer of leather across the palm, thumb or fingers, right where gloves wear out first. Good for rough materials, blocks, scaffolding and steel.

Fleece lined winter gloves
Split leather with a warm fleece lining and a denim back, for cold outdoor sites and winter work when a thin glove just will not do.

Full leather gloves
Leather on the back as well as the palm, for heavier work where fabric backs wear through too quickly.

Printed and coloured backs
Printed, striped or plain backs in your colours. An easy way to make a private label glove stand out on a shelf.
Choosing the Right Split Leather Glove
Small changes in the build make a big difference on the job.
| Option | Choose it when | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Rubberized safety cuff | Gloves need to come off quickly, general site work | Stiffer at the wrist |
| Canvas cuff | Comfort and flexibility matter most | Less rigid wrist protection |
| Single palm | Light to medium handling | Wears faster on rough materials |
| Double palm | Rough materials and heavy handling | A little less feel |
| Cotton or zeen back | Warm weather, breathability | Less protection on the back of the hand |
| Fleece lining | Cold weather and outdoor work | Warmer but bulkier |

Split Leather Gloves FAQ
What is split leather?
It is the lower layer of the hide, left after the smooth top grain is split off. It is thicker and rougher than grain leather and handles abrasion well, which makes it a good, affordable choice for work gloves.
What are rigger gloves?
Rigger gloves are leather palm work gloves with a fabric back and a stiff safety cuff. Our split leather gloves with a rubberized cuff are exactly this style.
Rubber cuff or canvas cuff, which is better?
A rubberized cuff is stiffer and slips off quickly, which suits site work. A canvas cuff is softer and more comfortable. Many buyers stock both.
Can you make them in our colours with our logo?
Yes. Palm colour, back fabric, cuff colour, logo and packaging can all be matched to your brand.
